can i ask how the hip connector works, any pics, i have am idea buti d love to see it, and how do the legs connect to it on TFM's it looke dlike they screwed on,
if the hip part is an extra part left over when they are in single bot more would it be possable to make it into a small vehicle like the little car motormaster had? it would add mroe functionality to it all

good luck with it all

if you mean the knees, well they are glued to extra prowl?s shields, and attach like they normally do

Respect the legs, i dont know how TFM made his, but im guessing he used mainly the original Gundam GP-02 waist, and used whatever space and holes available on Ultra Magnus. As for mine, well take a look to the next images:

1.- First, i remade the leg connector, it attaches better, it isnt as big, and looks better, not as heavy as before

2.- This is the old connector, broken since i needed two pieces (they basically keep the shoulders from falling down). Filled with just epoxy, and it also had another two pieces were the legs connecter. In the end, was big, ugly, heavy and didnt attached as i would have hoped. Take a look at the earlier combined pics to see what i mean

3.- ah the new connector. In the back, there?s a peg hole, so i had an energon prowl KO gun, and for some reason, it fits nice and smootly! then all i had to do was add epoxy so it conects to his crotch (or Ultra Magnus chest piece). Added an KO Energon Rodimus waist to the top part, so i could add the shoulder holders that i mentioned before

you know, even though i like the big armed Dragstrip, there was something that i never liked from him, from both versions i done (original, and with Energon Rodimus arms)

Today, i made major improvements, and i think finally, im loving how it looks. Still, i need to figure how to put the lower arms (i might use some RiD Prowl leftover hands)

feet connector redone, instead of being inserted "inside" the car, it goes in the back, now its more secure and fits better... i cant believe i noticed this until now

changed the shoulders and the arm connectors need to be redone from scratch...

Look at the arms!

btw, i made a major screw up and lost two UM tires, so im gonna need some replacement... i think a friend might have some extras... :(

Well, at long last the combined mode looks alot better by now, just compare it with earlier pics

For one, the arms are closer to the body, and not like a gorillesque Op Op like before. The connectors are better too

I still need to fix thingies, like Deadend/Sideburn plug connector (too loose right now), the waist and the lower arm connectors. Lets not talk about Motormaster legs shall we?

Other things to note is the painted head, as well Breakdown (just need some touch ups in car mode, and all details in robot mode just like Wildrider)

Motormaster is alive!!!

I got a new pair of legs, and like divine inspiration, i figured a better way to make cool legs, and yet, keep the vehicle mode almost intact

I started to paint some pieces, but i still ned to do some touch ups on the connector parts

That's a very awesome way to transform the legs! He looks very good that way!

I agree.

Now just tell us how you did that? I can't figure out what you mounted the super feet onto to get them down there....

they are simply glued with epoxy to the exisitng blue tab/peg, where the ramp closes, although the "toes" are turned around respect the factory assembly

ill try to post some pics later this week :)

oh yeah, some more little details were painted, like the backpack, the vehicle mode is done (i think, gotta check later), and the front wheels of the cab are attached again (using the blue bolts connectors)

Ok a small update, but one very awaited ;)

Some vehicle WIP piccies of Motormaster

Front
Image

thanks to the shoulder articulation in Gestalt mode, i had to remove the front wheels, but i found a nice way to reattach em for small robot & vehicle mode, by using the connectors of the gun

Image

A top viewof the cab, those are the upper legs and knee

Image

The feet and the torso connector, they arent attached to anything, just slighty hold by the smaller robot feet... for the torso piece, im gonna find a way to attach it firmly

Image

The torso connector and legs attached, obviously needs some work and painting, but im in love with it, compared to how big and heavy was originally

Image

Close up of the head

Image

Gestalt feet

And the last pic, for those that asked, this is how the new feet for MM was attached. I still need to shave the extra putty and most likely, add a screw

I love how Motormaster can store all of the gestalt kibble. It's too bad that he couldn't stow some of the vehicles though. That would've been really cool methinks.
